New Churches & Youth Workers!

First of all, we are pumped that you are checking out CDYC and we hope to see you at Middle School Camp and High School Camp this Summer!

We are committed to engaging students with God and others, through defining moments, real community and intentional fun.

Let's explain a bit of how we do that AND some things you are going to want to know as you consider MSC or HSC.

A bit about our Philosophy

CDYC Exists to engage students with God and others, through defining moments, real community, and intentional fun.

1. Engage Students - In order to engage students, we need to do everything we can to connect with them where they are. It is for this reason that you will see different programming for middle school and high school. There will be some similarities, however each week is intended to connect in a new and fresh way.

2. Defining Moments - Whether it is in a session, a large group game, or a small group conversation, our aim is to provide moments that will help launch a student into the rest of their year.

3. Real Community - Small Groups is a critical part of what we do. Providing environments for small group leaders to connect with students is a huge win in our book. We are constantly trying to find new ways for youth groups to connect and to provide a schedule where students can begin to develop those relationships while at camp.

4. Intentional Fun - We love to have fun at camp and who doesn't? Everything we seek to do is to provide opportunities for students to have a ton of fun while connecting their group, other peers, and adult leaders.

Some Things to Think About

This is our most practical list when it comes to equipping new leaders and new churches for their arrival to CDYC Middle School Camp or High School Camp this Summer.

  • Location and dates

Our camps take place at Bethel University in Mishawaka, IN. There are a number of food options around Bethel as well as some tourist locations as well. The University of Notre Dame is not far from campus and South Bend has a number of cool options if you want to take advantage of those before or after camp.

    Middle School Camp: June 20-23

    High School Camp: June 24-27

  • Small Groups!

If you haven't already been able to tell, we are all about small groups. Whether or not your ministry has a model for small groups, we will provide many opportunities for your adults to connect with students. We do have a required minimum adult to student ratio or 1:10 and your adults will always only be charged the Early Bird Cost for your camp.

We encourage churches to start thinking early about who can be on your adult team and how they might be able to come alongside your team for the other 51 weeks of the school year as well.

  • Cost Things to Think about

When it comes to cost, remember that the registration fee that is indicated on the Youth Pastor Page covers housing, food, and programming costs, once you get here. Transportation, any food costs along the way are on each church traveling. Additionally, any leader costs that you wish to absorb is on each church as well. Once you arrive at Bethel for your camp, transportation needs will be covered.

  • Other items and FAQ

Remember that Housing forms will be sent to you in May and need to be returned asap.
